I manage a team of PMs who stand up client projects, provide estimates, anticipate risks, and keep things running smoothly at Dragonfly.

I help a diverse set of clients with their projects, from initiation to completion. My responsibilities include:-Working with clients to schedule kickoff meetings and ensuring we understand the project requirements and scope-Creating the project budget and timeline, including coordinating key milestones-Staffing resources to the project-Guiding the team through the production process -Monitoring and enforcing project constraints (timeline/budget/scope)-Anticipating project issues and risks and communicating possible solutions-Ensuring that work is delivered to the client on time-Closing out the project in a timely manner

As a senior editor at Dragonfly, I edited technical reports, proposals, research papers, and corporate communications in sustainability, geoscience, engineering, defense, education, and finance. I often took on quick-turnaround projects—I thrive on deadlines—but I was equally happy digging into a hundred-page report.

My work for IEEE Micro, a bimonthly computer science research magazine, combined editing and project management duties:-Planning issue content -Monitoring schedules and progress-Managing budget and risks-Ensuring that key milestones were reached and deadlines were met-Editing technical articles and proofreading all layouts for errors, inconsistencies, and cosmetic issues

Edited a variety of projects, including NSF CAREER proposals, pharmaceutical and medical copy, doctoral dissertations, computing books and articles, educational materials, memoirs, and YA novels.

Edited clinical content, medical literature reviews, and user guides for Web-based applications. Cross-checked dosage guidelines and other data to be uploaded into infusion pumps

Edited articles, white papers and presentations for financial advisers. Wrote and edited bulletins and marketing materials.

Edited technical articles for print and online magazines. Rewrote and restructured articles as necessary. Filled in as lead editor of IEEE Pervasive Computing (Oct. 2006–Mar. 2007). Awarded for work on a magazine production study.
