People of faith and conscience have immense power for social transformation. The Parliament brings together a global audience from hundreds of religious, cultural, and philosophical backgrounds to do world-changing things, and I communicated these achievements with a global audience. As communications director, I harnessed compassion, industry expertise, activism and relationship-building to execute two international conferences attended by global luminaries and close to 20,000 people, contributing direct impact to climate justice, peacebuilding, interfaith cooperation, and engaging institutions of power in more than 80 nations. Some highlights rarely found on the job:• Producing rare exclusive hour-long video interview with His Holiness the Dalai Lama • Managing last-minute press conference for Dr. Jane Goodall• Directing social action campaign in advance of the UN COP conference on Climate Change • Launching and coordinating year-long anti-hate campaign with family advocates of those killed • Managing entire comm. strategy + team for 2015 Parliament of the World's Religions in Salt Lake City, Utah and the 2018 Parliament of the World's Religions in Toronto, CA.My responsibilities included:• Delivering weekly newsletter to audience in 80 countries representing 50 faiths, (essential reading for admired leaders from across several sectors)• Curating all web + social properties - increasing Facebook audience alone by 566%, generating hundreds of shares weekly • Managing Outreach & Advocacy: producing webinar, training and networking events • Serving as rep in speaking engagements and conference booths• Nurturing existing partnerships and enterprising new ones • Reporting user analytics, engagement, and earned media
