Treasurer 2018-PresentPresident 2017-2018Secretary 2016-17I've held three executive board roles since joining the AIGA board. Starting as Secretary, I grew my knowledge of AIGA South Dakota. In 2017, I stepped into the roll of President with two main goals, to grow and strengthen our membership and develop sustainable strategies to grow the organization. As a result, our membership increased 54%.As President, I also led the creation of the AIGA Idea Fund—a grant given to South Dakota designers with the goal of creating positive impact in our communities with designer-initiated projects. Since the Fund’s inception in 2017, we’ve granted $3,500 to four recipients and funded projects in Sioux Falls and Vermillion.In February 2022, I designed, organized, and co-hosted the virtual panel, Let’s Talk About Accessibility in Design. This panel included local advocates, developers, artists, and designers in the community with the focus of addressing accessibility and inclusivity through the lens of design. 60 people attended this panel.
