Creating beautiful spaces has been my passion since I was old enough to push the furniture around in my room and earn my parents’ trust with a bucket of paint. My passion for design led me to earn an AAS in Carpentry at Missoula College. The carpentry program provided me a solid foundation in the principles of construction and confirmed that I am an instinctive project manager with a knack for aesthetics, not setting trusses.This discovery prompted me to pursue my obsession for all things design related, even initiating work with a committee of professors from The University of Montana to craft a new bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Design. My studies consisted of set design, props, textile selection and manipulation, AutoCAD, architectural history as well as several media arts courses. After graduating, I entered the field of kitchen and cabinetry design where I have been designing custom cabinetry for the better part of a decade. I have experience designing with multiple cabinet lines, to accommodate projects ranging from custom homes to multi-family housing. This experience includes designing, ordering, and overseeing installation of projects ranging from a single vanity to cabinetry packages exceeding $275,000. I am obsessed with the details and know that lending my skills and knowledge will ensure the vision and execution of beautiful and livable spaces, nationally and globally.I am a Montana Native, currently residing in Las Vegas, NV. My design career journey has been anything but traditional. Launching Molly Valdez Studio crossed off “Entrepreneur” from my bucket list. I am passionate about textures, colors, and patterns and seeks partnerships on projects that will challenge my creativity, while creating functional, yet stunning, spaces.
