For 18 yrs I was a military wife and mother, constantly moving and reinventing myself to find work. Now I would like to put those skills and my qualifications to good use and support families, especially military families. My thesis focused on military adolescence who, suffer with mental health problems caused specifically by relocation but these issues could be transferred to any young person. And I would love the opportunity to listen, support and help. A lot of the skills I have developed through training and working can be transcribed into usable skills and as a military wife I have learnt the ability to adapt and adjust to most situations. I have a BA hons Degree in Play work and youth and community Studies from Leeds Metropolitan University and I have just graduated with a Msc in psychology from Arden University, which is accredited with the British Psychology Society. Whilst completing the degree online I developed essential communication skills using Microsoft office and Google platforms. Report writing and record keeping has been essential for my degree but also in previous employment. As well as my work history I have also raised over four thousand pounds for a women’s cancer charity that is very close to my heart. I organised numerous charity events including a masquerade ball and I cycled 450km across Beijing and 100m across London at night.
