I am an advocacy and digital communication expert with a focus on the MENA region. With over a decade of experience, I have campaigned to eliminate digital discrimination and promote democracy, transparency, and social accountability. My work has exposed digital discrimination, mobilized groups, and held governments and tech giants accountable. I conduct research on the intersection of tech policies, human rights, politics, and marginalized communities, particularly focusing on content moderation and surveillance technologies' impact on human rights and politics.Currently, I serve as the Campaigns & Partnerships Manager (MENA) and corporate engagement lead at Digital Action. I am also a non-resident fellow at the Tahrir Institute for Middle East Policy (TIMEP) and a non-resident scholar for the Middle East Institute (MEI). Previously, I held roles at 7amleh- The Arab Center for the Advancement of Social Media and Transparency Palestine, the national chapter of Transparency International. I hold a MA in Social Media and Digital Communication from the University of Westminster.Throughout my career, I have assisted civil society organizations in improving their digital presence, communication, campaigning, and advocacy using modern tools. I am an advocate for digital rights, striving to change governmental and tech companies' policies to create a safer digital space. My expertise extends to content moderation policies, surveillance technologies, human rights, societies, gender-based violence, and hate speech.I enjoy helping organizations develop tailored communication and advocacy strategies, leveraging digital tools, and aligning them with their programs, needs, and target audiences.
