I work as the artistic director for the non profit organization, Teen Dream Achievement program, teaching drama classes, organize fundraisers for the company, and manage all talent involved in the various planned events. I've been managing my children's music group 2Starr2x professionally since July 2011. Their music is new sounding, exciting and a hip band that is sure to get the crowd going. 2Starr2x's genre is a mixture of pop, pop/rap and hip hop. 2Starr2X are the writers and co-producers of all their original material. They are definitely hands on and play a vast role in the decisions of performance material, costumes, hair, make-up and the entire concept of their performance production. Many other artists has watched the success, progress, and development of 2Starr2x. They often seek help from me with management. Due to many requests, I wondered how I could help other artists as well as my own children's music group. One saying I would give to everyone is "Out of Sight, Out of mind". Meaning if people can't see what you're doing as a performing artists, it's pretty much useless to say what you do rather than show what you do. I also would ask them what shows have they done, what pictures do they have, and what videos have they recorded of their performances. They often found themselves unprepared. That's when I decided that I will plan events to help with the exposure, development, and experiences needed to be a professional performing artist. The mission to help other artists, manage 2starr2x, and fund raise for Teen Dream Achievement program, has lead me to tie my event planning demands all into one. I plan events while also helping entrepreneurs gain exposure, decorate, & book artists for various shows through out the year. I do all of this with little to no funding. I look forward to the day that we will have enough funding to host large productions that will give all of my participants the professional experience that they all desire to help build portfolios and careers. 2Starr2x is due to record several of their original pieces, release a new music videos,and tour in 2015.
