Monica is currently the Director of Purchasing for the City of Greenacres where she began her career in Public Procurement 17 years ago. Working in a medium sized agency has allowed her to be involved in every type of solicitation including construction. She is a published author, motivational speaker and the C.E.O of A.M.P Training Solutions where she focuses on empowering others to become leaders in their organizations and community. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Monica’s passion is in teaching, training and public speaking. Some of her favorite topics include communication, personality types in the workplace, leadership skills, project management, planning and organizing. She is regarded by peers as being highly motivating, fun, dynamic, and inspiring. She has the ability of taking complex information and translating it to the audience in a simple format making it easy to incorporate into real life. Monica is the Secretary for the Southeast Florida Chapter of NIGP where she also serves as the Special Events Chair and the Professional Development Chair. In 2020, she was the recipient of FAPPO's (Florida Association of Public Procurement office’s) Outstanding Educator Award. In past years, she has served on FAPPO’s Awards Committee and is currently on the Website Committee.
