I am pivoting into the cybersecurity industry after 25 years in the military, law enforcement, and security industry. I am highly skilled and accomplished in troubleshooting, de-escalating, and developing viable solutions for a multitude of security and enforcement issues in the physical domain and I’m seeking to transition and transfer those skills into logical domain of cybersecurity. I successfully completed a 10-month cybersecurity bootcamp, at UNLV, in which I gained fundamental knowledge and practical application in computer networking, security information and event management, and programming and scripting in an accredited simulated environment. Moreover, that experience allowed me to understand and employ the correct methodologies and protocols necessary for securing and protecting sensitive information within any cyber environment from both a red team and blue team approach. My objective is to merge the expansive knowledge and skills I have gained throughout my career with the extensive knowledge and experience of the cybersecurity bootcamp to obtain a position with a distinguished cybersecurity team. I am eager to contribute my abilities to identifying vulnerabilities, proactively implementing defensive measures, and mitigating the potential for cyber breaches and threats.
