I created and implemented detailed Emergency Response plans for both the volunteers and animals that reside in the shelter. I ensure compliance with Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) shelter standards, as well as OSHA requirements for chemical storage, first aid, and personal protective equipment.

As a volunteer, I have responded to many calls for assistance from local community members. I have handled many emergency calls for injured animals as well as conducted Trap-Neuter-Return projects to help reduce overpopulation in community cats. I administer medications to shelter animals following prescriptions and directions from veterinarian partners.
