As the social media manager for the City of Amarillo, my goal is to ensure that residents are informed and engaged with their community. I oversee and manage the City's social media profiles, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn, and leverage the latest digital trends and marketing tactics to raise awareness of City services and programs.Working with all City departments, I develop creative and engaging social media content and marketing campaigns to meet specific goals. I also monitor and engage in City-related online conversations, responding to inquiries in a timely and courteous fashion.To ensure that we are meeting our goals, I regularly monitor and report on social media performance usage reports, gaining insights that allow us to make data-driven decisions.
