Women In Business offers holistic services for women's empowerment from personal well-being to professional and entrepreneurship goals. Through education, capacity building, networking, mentoring, and curated events, we prepare Latin American and Caribbean women with the skills, tools, and knowledge to lead and be agents of change.

The Women Economic Forum (WEF) is the international platform, of the global All Ladies League (ALL) network, which enables women and leaders from all fields to expand business opportunities and enhance personal influence through borderless networks.ALL and WEF are among the largest communities of women entrepreneurs and leaders who have opened opportunities for thousands of women to grow personally and professionally.

The research seeks to measure how including people of color and members of historically marginalized groups in the scientific workforce benefits the field.

● Directed a $425,000 project for the implementation of a public policy to provide Technology Extension Services (TES) to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Colombia. Supervised a multi-disciplinary team that included 25 senior extension professionals, faculty, and staff. Between 2017 and 2022 the project impacted 32 states; and more than 4,000 companies which have improved productivity 31% in average.● Directed a $130,000 project with Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico to create a Startup Skills Capstone Course which resulted in 15 capstone students and 12 senior faculty trained with entrepreneurial skills. ● Directed a $35,000 Virtual Innovation Immersion Experience program for 32 students from Universidad Católica de Chile’s Master of Industrial Engineering program. Designed the 30-hour curriculum with emphasis in innovation and intrapreneurship, and delivered entire program on-line. Supervised 3 staff and 6 faculty during the program execution.

● Principal Investigator (PI) on 17 projects, and Co-PI on 3 projects, for a total of 20 sponsored research projects representing $1,095,000 in research funds. ● Directed a $50,000 project of capacity building and program evaluation for Emprende UP, the business incubator of Universidad del Pacífico in Lima, Perú. As a result, Emprende UP obtained follow on funds from Innóvate Perú.● Directed a $70,000 project of business incubation assessment for Incuba UdeC, the incubator and accelerator program of Universidad de Concepción, Chile.● Lead Instructor in Design Thinking. Created content in English and Spanish and conducted workshops.

The Swiss Entrepreneurship Program (Swiss EP) builds local startup communities bottom up by working with ecosystem leaders and builders since 2015. Swiss EP's partners are mainly local entrepreneurs and organizations developing and managing incubators, accelerators, mentor programs, and angel networks. Swiss EP supports organizations by strengthening their performance, improving programs, and delivering services of high value to their entrepreneurs through strategic and valuable international connections.As Expert-In-Residence, I share with selected Swiss EP's partners in Peru my experience building innovation ecosystems, creating innovation/entrepreneurship curriculum/programs, facilitating capacity-building for teams on content creation and user experience, and with my extensive knowledge of emerging markets, particularly Latin America.

Mentor for the non-profit organization Women Entrepreneurship Opportunity Project (WEOP). Advise women entrepreneurs in the process of defining, launching and formalizing their businesses by sharing experience, insights and resources, and guiding them with problem solving and self-assessment. Motivate mentees to achieve business and professional development goals.

● Directed program operations in France, Chile and the U.S. for 3 programs and 150+ participants per year.● Supervised administrative staff, student assistants, and faculty during programs delivery (on-site and remotely) resulting in consistent scores of 4.5+ out of 5 in program evaluations● Oversaw budgets in average of $550,000 per program, $1.7 million annually. Monitored actuals, reported significant variances, identified risks and opportunities, and recommended budget adjustments as needed.● Wrote a grant application for Chile's government development agency (CORFO) resulting in first institutional grant for $125,000 obtained by Stanford Ignite.● Managed relationships with international partners through program life cycle: drafted and facilitated legal agreements, negotiated agreement terms related to program operations, trained partner’s staff to provide on-ground support and supervised program execution remotely to ensure consistent and quality service delivery.

● Defined and executed business development and sales strategies for the department. Achieved 25% annual revenue growth and 50% profitability margin targets. TechBA is the Technology Business Accelerator program created by the Mexican Ministry of Economy and operated by the US - Mexico Foundation for Science. TechBA's mission is to find the most innovative Mexican technology-based companies and take them to global markets. ● Advised 5 Mexican high-tech start-ups planning to expand U.S. business. ● Researched U.S. markets and identified market opportunities, (i.e. market size, target segment, distribution channels, product positioning). I worked with CEOs, CTOs, and entrepreneurs to develop business plans and elevator pitch presentations for investors, clients, and business partners, and assisted in financial planning and modeling. ● Created analytical tools, including: 5-year financial projections, SWOT analysis, competitor landscape analysis, etc. ● Coordinated and held regular virtual meetings with project stakeholders in Mexico to review deliverables, adjust timeline and ensure project’s completion within time and budget constraints.

Corpotur is a government agency of the Nueva Esparta State in Venezuela. It is dedicated to supporting and promoting tourism as the main driver of economic development in the State. Corpotur monitors and studies the different tourism activities and recommends strategies to support the growth of the tourism business ecosystem in the region.● Managed a 6-month project of internal IT audit and development of a new information system using object-oriented methodologies and knowledge-based theories. ● Gathered and documented systems requirements using UML conceptual models and use-case diagrams that defined the end-user needs for the subsequent functional specifications and system development. ● Defined functional specifications using UML class and sequence diagrams for posterior use in the coding and development of the system. ● Designed the structure for a new relational database using SQL and Microsoft Access.
