As the founder of BeSpace Consulting, I guide organizations through complex, unpredictable challenges that impact every aspect of business today. My work equips organizations to navigate uncertainty with resilience and adaptability through strategic foresight and leadership development. As strategic counsel, I partner with executive teams in long-term engagements to set strategic visions, foster sustainable cultures, and drive decision-making processes aligned with long-term goals. My planning and analysis work involves developing strategic plans grounded in systems thinking, landscape assessments, and experimental methodologies to help organizations respond effectively in an evolving environment. Additionally, I design and facilitate leadership development cohorts, offering immersive experiences that strengthen leaders' adaptability, systems thinking, and design skills, and enhancing their abilities in complex problem-solving.

Collaborated with Microsoft Azure's Design for Sustainability program, playing a pivotal role as a reliable advisor, offering guidance and assistance throughout the entire process of designing, building, and expanding a new initiative. Working closely alongside influential sustainability leaders, contributed to the development of foundational solutions to fulfill corporate carbon reduction goals. This involved extensive research and strategic planning to establish intensity metrics and establish baseline targets, effectively driving innovation and operational efficiency.

NewImpact was formed to change the way the world finds opportunities and solves problems through tri-sector solutions. I was brought on to stand up the Innovation Strategy Consulting team within the organization. Our team was tasked with engaging leading business and government innovators, philanthropists, policy experts, and social entrepreneurs to develop and scale new solutions to pressing problems. I lead a portfolio of strategic projects covering complex challenges such as equitable workforce development, housing justice, data solutions governance, and economic mobility.

Path Forward was founded in 2001 and has since delivered the Path Forward Leadership Workshop (PFLW), a 12-month cohort-based program, to over 1500 graduates. In 2019, the founder approached me regarding my work in mixing systems, strategy, and leadership development. We joined forces on expanding the PFLW to create the Executive Stewards Program, explicitly tailored for top leadership to participate as a leadership team. The Stewards Program, is an immersive experience of group learning, coaching, and challenge within an intact executive cohort. The Program expands the scope of the PFLW to include bigger-picture concerns and opportunities that are discovered as the cohort dives deeply to understand and craft a desired future for the cultural, structural, and leadership environment in the organization.

Lead the Research and Insights group in the Strategy Consulting unit. This work encompassed strategy design for social and environmental impact projects through a whole system and long-term sustainable approach. Working with corporations, cities, government, and foundations to assess the current reality of their system, define and then move to action with transformative strategic plans, projects, or culture shifts while engaging with stakeholders throughout the process. Work spanned a wide range of topics, from financial inclusion, disaster risk management, civic engagement, supply chain labor health and well-being, accelerating the shift to clean energy, education and workforce development. SecondMuse is an innovation agency designed to tackle complex problems in the social impact space. Our most important and successful work happened on my team when we brought a strong analytical side of systems mapping and strategy, while also engaging softer skills for deep listening, empathy, and curiosity especially when navigating the multifacets of working with large complex teams and systems.

We founded DesignFarmNW to merge our interests in product development, design and sustainability, with a focus on the Pacific Northwest economy. Researching material waste streams and local manufacturing networks to find opportunities for new product development that are mutually beneficial and generate renewed value from reclaimed materials.Our pilot project was the development of a well-designed line of urban gardening and outdoor furniture products, utilizing local material and manufacturing resources. In addition to marketing our own product line, we offered design and systems consultation services for other companies to explore how systems and design thinking can be applied to address complex social and environmental challenges.

Led a team of skilled scrum masters/project managers and engineers to guide the successful delivery of projects in alignment with program objectives and budgets. Established and leveraged relationships with leaders from multiple business units to produce deliverables on cross-company initiatives. Made strategic decisions while weighing competing perspectives across multiple teams. This is where my passion for building strong leadership capacity was born as I started to explore self as leader, and how my impact was crucial to the outcomes for projects and the people on my team.
