About Monica Smith
I am passionate about helping others and started my career many years ago as an RN specializing in Neurology and Home Health. I worked with all types of patients in hospitals before moving into Home Health. I loved working in the Home Health environment due to the personal relationships I was able to develop with my patients and their families. I transitioned into the corporate world and spent many years as an individual contributor and sales leader before moving into Marketing, which is where I thrived. Not long ago, my father experienced several falls and collectively, my siblings and I worked together to figure out how to best keep our parents safe. My mother, who is 83, walking behind Dad to 'catch him' didn't seem like the best plan and I knew we could do better. After going through the daunting process of finding an Assisted Living Facility for both of my parents, I decided to leave the corporate world and become a Certified Senior Advisor so that I could once again assist families in taking care of their loved ones. I am absolutely committed to helping families achieve peace of mind. Services offered through my Senior Care Advisor franchise are: 1. Placement/Relocation Services- leverage my referrals and resources to assist families in finding the right environment for their loved ones to thrive, at NO CHARGE to families. 2. Elderly Consulting- fee based service to assist in navigating through this challenging time and can include advocacy, family coaching and peace of mind visits.3. Beyond Driving with Dignity Program- Self assessment and educational programs for professionals focused on bringing a peaceful resolution to the complex and sensitive senior driving issue.4.
