I am interested in drivers and patterns of biodiversity change and how to track these changes across space. Specifically, I am coordinating the Sampled Red List Index project which attempts to broaden our understanding of biodiversity status and establish trends over time using extinction risk (IUCN Red List criteria).I am also currently involved in a number of other projects, specifically the National Red LIst project hosted by ZSL (check out www.nationalredlist.org for more information), which tries to push forward the development of National Red Lists for conservation planning, and climate change vulnerability assessments for reptiles as well as investigating the threat of climate change in more detail with our partners at the IUCN. Other interest involve the way in which we transfer technology and knowledge for biodiversity conservation, capacity building and public engagement about conservation issues and science.
