Intermediate paediatric placement. Attended one day weekly for ten weeks total. Private practice setting with a predominantly four-client caseload per fortnight. I managed a primary caseload of speech, language, fluency, literacy, and ASD. I also observed and led additional therapy sessions where possible. I co-designed a quality improvement resource aimed at figurative language for adolescents, developed and presented a project of interest to the clinical team (First Nations speech and language), and created social media posts for fortnightly engagement.

Intermediate adult placement. Attended one day weekly for ten weeks total. Hybrid hospital-based and community-based settings. My primary duties were within the stroke outreach service to provide rehabilitation post-stroke; shadowing and assisting clinicians on acute wards to assess and manage patients post stroke diagnosis, including those with aphasia, dysphagia and dysarthria; and co-facilitating group therapy targeting dysarthria.

With supervision and clinical support, I managed the assessment, planning and intervention for an adolescent language caseload (GDD, ADHD, ID). I observed and aided in younger paediatric speech, language, fluency, and complex behavioural clients as well as two adult voice clients. I co-designed two quality improvement projects, including a functional oral language resource targeting form, content and use, and preliminary research for a functional written language resource to help adolescents communicate online.
