Jeremiah Program is a national organization with a mission to disrupt the cycle of poverty for single mothers and their children, two generations at a time. When a mother invests simultaneously in her personal and professional goals and the education of her children, she can re-author her family’s outcomes and act as a change agent within her community. Working with the Aspen Forum for Community Solutions team we endeavor to support community collaboration - including collective impact - that enables communities to effectively address their most pressing challenges. The Forum works to accomplish this goal by pursuing four complementary strategies including: 1) building awareness by documenting and lifting up proven strategies and stories of success; 2) mobilizing stakeholders through knowledge and network development; 3) removing barriers by advocating for effective policy; and, 4) catalyzing investment by encouraging funder partnerships. The Opportunity Youth Incentive Fund is the first funding collaborative developed and led by the Aspen Forum for Community Solutions. The goal of the Opportunity Youth Incentive Fund is two-fold: 1) to build strong evidence of success for utilizing the collective impact community collaboration strategy to build and deepen pathways that achieve better outcomes in education and employment for Opportunity Youth, and 2) to make the case for increased adoption of collective impact and community collaboration as an effective model for community change. To accomplish these goals, the Opportunity Youth Incentive Fund has identified five areas of work that community partners will take on as part of this initiative. The five areas of work are as follows: o Collaborating for Impact o Building Effective Pathwayso Using Data to Guide Decisions and Assess Impact o Leveraging Funding to Support and Sustain Innovationo Developing Supportive Policies

- Manage an $8 million dollar three-year national pilot funded by the Gates Foundation, the Nellie Mae Education Foundation and the Open Society Foundations. 
- Oversee selection, disbursement of awards and management of 10 partnerships comprised of community based organizations and community colleges that deliver bridge programming to cohorts of traditionally marginalized students. Awards include three-year sub-grant amountsranging from $450,000 to $600,000 each. 
- Design systems that support effective oversight of pilot site operations including data collection,fiscal accountability, site reporting and technical assistance. 
- Manage the implementation strategy and planning with participating sites.- Create strategy for training and technical assistance.

Grant Management & Technical Writing- Developed and edited (in tandem with three universities) several federal grants; each grant solicited 3.5 million and totaled more than 260 pages. Gathered and synthesized data from 50+ senior faculty on grant funding, publications and mentoring to include in grant. - Oversaw all administrative components of the grant submission process. - Managed departmental grants including collecting participants data, report writing and budget monitoring.- Produce and edit scientific journal articles and chapters for medical school text books on mental health and aging including conducting research, data synthesis, writing, proof-reading, editing for content and formatting references. Tailor writing, style and content to specific journal and textbook guidelines, audiences and venues.Project Coordination- Convene a steering committee comprised of senior administrators, senior faculty and support staff in an effort to identify and pursue federal, foundation, philanthropic and institutional funding opportunities. Handle grant management of all currently funded initiatives including the development and dissemination of progress reports for funders.- Develop and facilitate budget and funding implementation plan to lead steering committee team from identifying funding opportunities to securing funding. Provide technical assistance to partnering universities based on the grant guidelines.

- Consulted for multiple organizations including Diploma Plus and the Commonwealth Corporation.- Conduct qualitative interviews with staff, partners and stakeholders to inform report writing for the Gates Foundation & the Carnegie Corporation. Produce and edit final reports.- Research funding opportunities and design and implement the organizations funding strategy.- Design and implement strategic planning retreat for Board members.

Assess state education systems and make recommendations to the Commissioner based on my findings.
