I have over 25 years in work-based learning for career and technical education programs. My goal is to equip students with the tools and insights they need to achieve their workforce goals. I work with small and large organizations in both public and private sectors and assist in job readiness screening, individual education plan development, community asset mapping, strategic planning, labor market analysis, employer engagement, and capacity building.

Grant-based programs I created curriculum and managed directly were PROTEC (Professional Readiness for Technical Careers), New Mexico Film "Give Back" fund (scholarship for women and minorities)and Santa Fe Community College (FTTP)Film Technician Training Program.

Administer and teach in a 180+ student film program that offers certificate and 2-year degrees. Manage 1.5 million in asset, staff that ranges from 4 to 10 during the school year and participate in grants, contracts and other education efforts for the New Mexico film industry.

Worked with an incredible team of education professionals in a cooperative teaching environment serving a diverse and vibrant community. Focus on workforce training for career and technical education. Managed 750K+ equipment budget and eight full-time employees and over 36 part-time staff and faculty. Served 600-750 students annually. During 2012-2015 Film and Computer Science were Perkins Grant recipients. I served as chair for career and technical advisory boards, economic development, legislative outreach, and grant management. We increased facilities by $1.2 million in technical assets creating state-of-the-art technology labs, studios and mobile classrooms. Professional development included program articulations, becoming an Avid Learning Partner, and professional development for staff and faculty in programming, software and camera operation. Helped to rebrand an exceptional information technology program during my tenure and move academic departments, computer science and engineering, to math and science departments to help provide students with wraparound services essential for graduation and to meet the challenging general education core that allows for AS to BS matriculation. Worked in tandem with Sun Path, iBest, ABE, General Studies and multiple other programs in developing online curriculum.

I started working as a DP on low budget films in the mid-1990's and ran the gambit of horror, speculation spots, documentaries and music videos. By 2004 I was shooting primarily films for first time directors and second unit on larger films. I currently shoot two pro-bono projects per year to keep my skills up while teaching.I have received "best cinematography" awards at Houston, Willamette Valley and Sedona film festivals. I primarily shoot pro-bono projects and work on personal films. I am in process on the film "Last Summer" that follows my father and our deep connection with Misquamicut Beach.

Had the opportunity to assist for Theo van de Sande, Eric Zimmerman, Sandy Butler, Vilma Gregoropoulos and many others. It was on a film with Michelle Ohayon in 1998 where I decided that working on documentary films was what I wanted to do. It would take about ten years for me to shift to primarily assisting and shooting on industrial, public service and documentary films. It was not a lucrative pathway, but it was an amazing journey to understanding people and what it takes for a filmmaker to gain access to personal stories. I have worked with top end professional technology and focus systems as well as pro-sumer cameras and equipment. I know how to run a camera prep and package it for international travel, while making cappuccinos.

Started as the 'filter girl' then moved into operations, then lens prep, finally prep tech for camera systems. Worked at Canadian offices between 1996 and 1998.

Spent time as the only girl PA at Richard Eklund's model shop/3D imaging facility driving the famed "death van" around Los Angeles with my Thomas Guide. Yes this was BEFORE there were GPS smart phones. First job in LA and it was a learning experience!
