Einstein once said, “I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious.”Hi! I’m Monique and I am passionately curious. I love to learn and spread a love for learning. Luckily, I found a career path and a company that allows me to do what I love for a living.My journey in education started nontraditionally: I *thought* I wanted to be in health care. An anesthesiologist, to be exact. On top of the promise of a comfortable financial life, who doesn’t love the excitement of an OR room? If you’ve watched Grey’s Anatomy, you’ll know what I mean. Anyways, my vocational high school allowed me to enter into the health care field at a young age. Part of the curriculum involved a cycle of working at a Head Start program to teach health and hygiene to young children. And, just like that, I caught the fire.Now, over 10 years later, and after holding positions from Assistant Teacher to Center Director to Early Childhood Consultant, I am the Senior School Policy Manager at Bezos Academy - an organization opening a network of tuition free Montessori-inspired preschool across the nation. Here on LinkedIn, I hope to connect with some other passionately curious people, because curiosity and imagination is what can change the world for the better.
