San Francisco Bay Area

As Executive Director, developed programs to train and mentor LGBTQ Asian and Pacific Islander organizers and exponentially grew the organization’s grassroots donor base.

• The National Queer Asian Pacific Islander Alliance is a federation of LGBTQ Asian American, South Asian, Southeast Asian and Pacific Islander organizations. NQAPIA seeks to build the capacity of local LGBT AAPI.
• Institutionalized fundraising plans and tools, including: annual board fundraising phone bank, fundraising accountability systems, and give/get criteria
• Assist in planning of national and regional trainings, leadership summits, and convenings, including AAPI Institute at Creating Change, the NQAPIA National Leadership Summit, and the NQAPIA Conference
• Develop and implement processes for board recruitment, training, and evaluation

Portland, Maine Area

• Led one of the LGBT movement's most innovative and successful regional field teams to the nation's first-ever proactive ballot measure victory for same sex marriage
• Recruited, trained, and directed field team of 35 staff and volunteer leaders in running successful voter contact, volunteer recruitment, campus, confirmation call and data programs for largest city in Maine
• Led team in raising $42,820, recruiting 11,880 shifts, and having 11,085 voter conversations over 8 months, generating over 40% of overall statewide numbers through final 6 months of campaign

Baltimore, Maryland Area

• Worked to pass marriage equality and transgender anti-discrimination bills in the Maryland state legislature through grassroots organizing and lobbying
• Recruited and trained a team of volunteers to run phone banks, in-person actions, and volunteer recruitment efforts
• Mobilized supportive constituents in key districts to urge their legislators to support marriage equality and transgender nondiscrimination through phone calls, legislative lobby visits, and testifying at hearings

• Provided remote support to defensive ballot measure campaign to protect LGBT non-discrimination ordinances in Bowling Green, Ohio by coordinating the Task Force's Volunteer For Equality program in New York City
• Recruited diverse team of 100 volunteers through in-person and phone recruitment; filled over 200 shifts over 10 weeks
• Trained volunteers in voter identification, volunteer recruitment, fundraising, and data entry

• Organized Bowling Green State University's campus to pass two city-wide ordinances that protect LGBT people from discrimination in employment, housing, public accommodations, and public education
• Spearheaded campus in-person volunteer recruitment team, bringing in over 50% of campaign's volunteers
• Led campus team during second round of early voting, Election Day, and provisional ballot chase period
