www.crossics.comAiming at building a new language where sentences can be replaced by a sequence of drawings, we help people to dialog when conventional communication channels are broken. Crossics’ first tools help general practitioners or social workers and patients to dialog about sickness symptoms.CROSSICS was a smartphone application (Android) that helps you to dialog with a physician while being abroad and/or sick. We developed tools to help immigrants in their daily life in the Red Cross reception centers for asylum seekers in Belgium.

- Built a model to optimize the re- or new development of tires for the tire labelling project. Based on budget and development/technology constraints, on the wishes provided by the marketing teams, on current business data and on the results of a customer survey, the tool has provided the optimum products development roadmap for the replacement business, until 2014, to maximize our return on investment.- Developed and released a gross margin optimization tool for the account executives to better drive their negotiations with the OEMs (€X00 m business). The stand alone program is very flexible for the users and takes into account the volumes, prices, costs, market shares, and customer wishes to provide an optimum sales deal.- Developed and released a tire cost index based on the market raw material cost fluctuation. Activated and supported an external consulting company (CMAI-Global) to establish and release a monthly tire index. First release of the index was published in March 2009. This index, covering Europe, US and Asia passenger tire markets, is sold since September 2010 to the tire industry and the OEMs.- Proposed to introduce the risk component in the new products selection process. Defined and developed an algorithm that calculates the expected NPVs of our new products based on risks linked to the market demand, our ability to develop and produce the products on time and the expected prices and volumes prior negotiation outcomes.

- Developed, implemented and released a laboratory tread wear test. The new indoor test (a 6 sigma project) replaces some outdoor vehicle testing. It increases the test turn around time by a factor 10, saves € 3 mio spending per year for the company, improves the pilots’ safety and reduces the CO2 emission by 259 tonnes a year. - Proposed and implemented an organization change to increase the efficiency of the laboratory. Led the new team in charge of all lab test developments. Introduced, developed and released three major tests with a reality based approach using rainflow analysis techniques (signal filtering that does not modify the test outcome). - Acted as change agent to increase the communication and the information flow between the departments. Created tools which required knowledge and information exchanges between 4 departments. - Owner of 6 invention disclosures.
