With over 13 years of experience as an educator, I have had the privilege of working in a number of diverse cultural and geographical settings. My journey began in Spain, where I began to expand my teaching repertoire. I was able to embrace and learn from its unique educational system and contribute to the academic development of students within a diverse cultural context. Seeking new challenges and cultural immersion, I ventured to West Africa, where I spent a significant portion of my career. Working as a teacher in West Africa provided me with a unique perspective on education and a deep appreciation for the rich and vibrant traditions of the region. It was a transformative experience that broadened my horizons and allowed me to connect with students and families from various backgrounds.Continuing my pursuit of global experiences, I moved to Boston, where after completing my Masters in Business Administration and CAGS in Educational Leadership, I had the opportunity to continue my teaching career. Working for Boston Public Schools has provided me with invaluable insight into the importance of adapting instructional methods to meet the needs of individual learners. Boston has helped honed my skills in a multicultural environment. This continuous work has laid a strong foundation for my future endeavors. In addition to my teaching career over the years, I have also assumed a leadership role as the General Manager of the Global Cinema Film Festival. Since its inception in 2015, I have been an integral part of the committee and organizing team. As a film enthusiast, this role has allowed me to combine my passion for education and arts, promoting cultural exchange and showcasing the diverse narratives portrayed through cinema.Throughout my journey as an educator and as a member of the film festival community, I have developed strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. These experiences have not only enriched my professional life but have also deepened my understanding and appreciation for the power of education and the arts in fostering global understanding and unity.Overall, my extensive work experience as a teacher in Boston, West Africa, and Spain, coupled with my role in the Global Cinema Film Festival, has shaped me into a well-rounded professional who thrives in multicultural environments and is committed to promoting education and cultural exchange.
