Ensured clarity and accuracy in spelling, grammar, punctuation, style, and format for magazine clients such as Carquinez, Diablo, Marathon Petroleum, Napa Sonoma, the Oakland Athletics, the San Francisco Giants, and Visit Petaluma.

Oversaw all editorial aspects of production for monthly lifestyle magazine centered around the California East Bay Area, including leading weekly meetings, brainstorming story ideas and issue lineups, setting deadlines, routing materials, editing articles in both manuscript and layout, supervising fact checking and proofreading, and giving final approval on pages. Acted as a liaison between editorial and other departments, as well as serving as the in-house contact for freelance fact checkers and proofreaders. Streamlined and enforced the magazine’s style guide in both print and online formats. Researched, developed, and wrote front of book, department, and feature stories on a range of topics.

Handled all press contact for the Lesher Center for the Arts’s resident professional theatre company, Center REP, including press releases, publicity photos, press invitations, and press packets for opening night, while also managing and maintaining the Instagram and Facebook pages for both Center REP and the Lesher Center with sole creative control and assisting with additional marketing strategies, such as the creation of Center REP’s 50th anniversary timeline.
