2019-2020: I am author of a manuscript on physical activity, quality of sleep, and positive thoughts research that is currently under revision and review for publication.2018: I conducted an investigation of physical activity on improved quality of sleep and positive thoughts. During this time, I also provided supporting data and was co-author of a research paper on physical activity and positive thoughts2017: I submitted a manuscript and was co-authored on a research paper. Further, I presented my research poster amongst post-grad students at the UofM Bicentennial Health Sciences Luncheon 2016: I performed research of physical activity and effects on improved attention in elementary-aged children. I presented my findings at the UofM UROP Spring Symposium.

Hillside Terrace Retirement Community

I developed weekly lesson plans that incorporated strength and conditioning stretches, aerobic exercises, and yoga/meditation. I taught an exercise class to a group of 10-15 elderly individuals at the retirement community twice a week following created lesson plans. I learned how to best communicate exercises and adapt to each individual, modifying exercises for those with impairments who were unable to complete the regular exercises. Further, over the course of 4 months, my class participants improved in both strength and ability of movement.
