Morgan Engel is a world class instructor/coach whose zest for skiing is infectious to everyone around him. His on and off hill approach to learning allows for an enjoyable experience. His commitment to the learner truly sets Morgan apart from other ski instructors. As a senior level course conductor Morgan’s ability to assist colleagues in their development so they will reach their ski career goals .While working full-time in the ski industry Morgan has held roles of ski instructor (Castle Mountain Resort, Whistler/Blackcomb, Hidden Valley, Norquay and Lake Louise), Head Coach of the Elkwater Race Club and Volunteer Coach with Valley Race Club (Alliance, AB). He has volunteered with CADS (Calgary, AB), The Kinsman Club is where he gained valuable volunteer board experience (2003-2009). Morgan sat on or chaired various committees where he understood the roles, responsibilities and time commitment that those positions required.Morgan was elected to the CSIA Alberta board and served from 2010-2016. He was again elected in 2017 where he sat as Chair of the Region and chaired the meetings of the CSIA Regional Chairs Collaboration Conference Calls. In his eight years he has contributed to the development of several offerings in Alberta, these include:• Regional clinics • Social media for the Alberta Region• Project Y• Four contract committees The Alberta board positions Morgan has held Treasurer, Secretary, Vice Chair and Chair.
