Oversee planning and development of over 70 events including competitive races, community outreach, and private corporate events. Manage, maintain, and continually update grounds and facilities to meet the needs of our growing customer base. Hire, train, and manage a seasonal events staff of 6 team members. Recruit and manage a volunteer base of over 300 people. Manage event, track, and volunteer related budget expenses while consistently coming in under budget.

Create new opportunities for community events at the world famous Derby Downs track. Promote and manage all events both on and offsite. Coordinate recruitment efforts and manage volunteers. Collaborate with community organizations and create partnerships to benefit youth in the surrounding area.

Plan events in collaboration with the Communications Manager and volunteer committees as well as develop social media plans and content for initiatives. Publish a weekly e-news letter, update content on the website and develop concepts for collateral.

Planned and managed events for the FirstEnergy All-American Soap Box Derby and other events throughout the year for the International Soap Box Derby. Assisted with race city development and communication throughout the year to grow the organization.

Guest service on the sales floor, phone operator and fitting room & brand team member. I help guests with anything they need, straighten up the sales floor and fold, sort and put away merchandise.

Planned and coordinated events for the Silver Sneakers club as well as assisted the planning of future classes, programs, events and a fundraiser for the Firestone Park branch YMCA.

Taught youth wellness classes, substituted for pilates and toning classes when teachers were out.
