I am currently a dose reconstructor employees by Stratify LLC and subcontracting with ORAU. I perform dose reconstructions for claimants through the NIOSH project for approved DOE sites.I obtained my M.S. in Radiological Health at CSU after changing my path from Ph.D. track to M.S. My master’s research involved the separation of scandium from titanium for theranostic applications in radiopharmaceuticals. I was looking to improve upon the current separatory methods as well as elucidate previous literature discrepancies on the method at hand. While I was a radiochemist for almost 5 years, I have changed career paths and began focusing on health physics applications through Stratify and ORAU. I hope to use my skills for dose reconstruction and combine them with professional development and leadership trainings to further my career in the future.

I worked as an intern for Noblis in the summer of 2021. During my time at Noblis, I created course content aimed at teaching employees about nuclear. As a government contracting company, bids are always changing and areas of expertise expanding. Noblis has recently acquired new contracts that have nuclear aspects. The company, however, is very diverse and has few employees with nuclear backgrounds. The goal of my project was to create content to educate current employees or future hires on the importance of nuclear and how it relates to the project at hand.During the course of the summer, I created two interactive courses. The first was aimed at helping employees understand the background and significance of nuclear in the country by understanding nuclear weapons on a fundamental level. The second highlighted various agencies within the government that contain a nuclear complex as well as how they cross-talked with one another. The goal was to have employees take these courses to understand the client better and produce the best quality of work possible.During my time at Noblis, I also had the opportunity to network with many employees across the company. This provided me with a well-rounded experience and gave me the opportunity to talk with a wide variety of people that didn't focus on nuclear. Overall, this experience provided me with professional skills and allowed me to come out of my shell as a professional individual.
