I am a passionate public health professional with a focus on health equity and a program management and engineering background. I enjoy applying statistics and evidence-based theories to health-related problems to understand better the underlying factors that drive an individual's behavior. I combine these analytical methods with the feedback and participation from focus populations with hopes of improving health outcomes. In my current role as Population Health Leader at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), I work closely with the health center and partners across campus, managing numerous large-scale public health initiatives to address health issues that impact the student population. Prior to my role at RIT, I worked at the Monroe County Health Department (MCHD), where I helped lead the COVID-19 case investigation and contract tracing effort. I was also a Supervising Public Health Representative for the STD/HIV control program at MCHD, where my primary duties included investigating newly diagnosed HIV and syphilis cases and managing state-funded grants for STD testing in the community. In my various roles and through my education, I have been exposed to the many health disparities that exist worldwide. I firmly believe health is a human right for all populations and aim to continue advocating for this professionally and personally.
