About Millie Morgan

I have always had an innate curiosity; a desire to know how, and why, everything and everyone ticks. In this way I am a life long student, always ready to discover new information and find the best way to organize it, and share it. While studying at Temple University I honed my data management skills through analyzing statistics through data management software like SPSS, creating maps and analytic reports based on census data through GIS, and even with physical arrangements of historical objects in museum exhibitions. Whether it be analyzing trends past, present, or future, I have engaged in every part of the data collection, analyzation, and disbursement processes. By presenting the right information, in the right framework, I use my skills to help influence legislature, funding, and education, as I have throughout my time with the 2020 Census and internships in museums and labs. My skills not only lie in managing data, but in making it palatable, and actionable. My goals are to be able to use my skills in a way that allows me to act locally, and think globally about contemporary problems of society, as well as the historical roots.Outside of work I maintain several hobbies and extra activities I enjoy. Some of these include collecting and identifying rare items and antiques, maintaining a small online business, volunteering for local not-for-profits, and lastly, and most recently, rock climbing/bouldering (only to try and overcome my fear of heights!)I am looking forward for new opportunities, particularly in the New York City area. If you think my skillset would be a good match for you, reach out! I am always eager to make new connections.
