I design daily newspapers for business and legal newspapers, most often designing The Daily Record in Baltimore, Md. Working closely with editors, I organize and layout editorial pages. I also create special design packages, art and infographics; place advertisements; and coordinate with the printing press staff.

As a part of BridgeTower Media's Creative Services department, I designed custom reprints, created advertisements and produced classified and public notice layouts for newspapers across the country.

Columbia, Missouri

I designed features, covers and department pages for Columbia's arts and culture magazine, Vox. For each of my feature designs, I created the design concept and participated in multiple critiques leading up to its publication. I also art directed photo shoots, illustrated artwork and attended staff meetings where we discussed future stories and feature.

I trained students in a publication design class to design at the Missourian. While designing on the print production desk, I taught students about print production, newspaper design, how to use InDesign and about Missourian style.

I led a fundamentals of design class of 13 journalism students, taught students design skills and Adobe programs in a design lab, clearly communicated information about design to the students and gave constructive feedback to them about design projects.

As Creative Director of the Missourian's Tiger Kickoff special section, which covers college football, I art directed photo shoots, conceptualized and implemented the design for each issue, designed covers, features and all inside pages, organized the magazine's layout and worked closely with sports writers and editors. I also worked on the Missourian's.

I reported and wrote for the enterprise beat. I conducted interviews with sources, fact-checked and communicated with other staff members and editors about stories on a daily basis.

Creve Coeur, Missouri

I gave professional one-on-one presentations about Cutco products to clients, gave virtual presentations to clients online and over the phone, received intensive sales training and learned sales techniques and skills, scheduled appointments with clients and provided customer service over the phone and in person.
