Responsible for completing confidential background investigations of applicants under consideration for hire by various organizations by gathering, compiling, and analyzing relevant facts. Assess data from various databases and information systems to check for inconsistencies related to the applicant's background, financial information, and possible criminal history. Analyze findings and prepare summary reports that are free of errors and meets company’s standards, with appropriate documentation to support recommendations for the applicant. • Work with outside contractors, courts and other public record agencies regarding criminal records investigations• Process criminal reports • Maintain in-depth working knowledge of all criminal guidelines, the rules and regulations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all aspects of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission• Maintain activity records for research performed
