I worked with the Moran sales team to market the hotel's luxury banquet facilities, catering services, and guest rooms. I provided opportunity management, billing, customer interface, and other support to the team, and coordinated sales activities with other hotel departments.

Performed the full range of front office and front desk duties, including all-day interface with hotel guests, check-ins/-outs, reservations, and logistical, administrative, and miscellaneous support.

Reported directly to the general manager of this 266-room luxury hotel, who assigned me to shadow employees working in all aspects of hotel operations, including front desk, back office, event sales, and housekeeping quality control. Interfaced with hotel guests and performed administrative tasks for hotel employees and guests. I also conducted site visits of competitor hotels in Houston to evaluate their accommodations and dining and entertainment offerings, reporting my findings to the Sorella management team.

Provided customer service, marketing, research, and administrative support for a Houston-based Disaronno National Account Manager who markets the Italian company’s amaretto and Irishman whiskey products to large US restaurant chains and airlines. Helped to identify industry trends, especially the latest specialty drink offerings; supported marketing efforts; provided social media promotional support; organized and shipped samples to potential customers; and performed administrative and logistical tasks.
