Marine Engineer
CurrentEngineeing Contractor for the Project Management Office of the United States Coast Guard's CG-9321 National Security Cutter Acquisition ProgramRole: My role during this project is simultaneously two-fold: to fulfill the roles of Mechanical Engineer and Configuration Management.Responsibilities & Activities:My responsibilities as Mechanical Engineer were to review changes to the Project Management Plan and other key Project Documents Updates, such as the Operational Requirements Document, and provide feedback. In Technical Advisory Group meetings, I review technical changes and identify risks associated with these changes, and discuss with other subject matter experts to grant approval. As a result of these changes, I update drawings and other technical documents across to reflect said changes. These updates involve working closely with Project Manager to manage the capabilities, scope, schedule, and budget of each cutter, both in production and for post-production support, to keep them in line with the original Project Charter.Configuration Management: facilitate Change Control meetings where changes to the project's capabilities, scope, schedule, and budget are discussed and approved. This involves serving as a key point of contact with key stakeholders, creating and editing briefs and memos of changes for stakeholders, archiving technical documents, updating the change log, updating the lessons learned register, and other Organizational Process Assets, and managing Task Tracking via Microsoft Sharepoint
