Growing up, I loved writing. It was always something I gravitated towards. I excelled in my writing classes. Finding a career path that aligned with that passion has been difficult. I entered college as a journalism major. This felt right at the time, but as I've grown, it didn't feel accurate anymore. Being a student in college has made me realize, as much as I love writing, it isn't the field I want to put my entire focus on. Finally, I have recognized that I look for dynamic organizations with lots of moving parts. Chaos excites me. I want to be an ever-evolving field that involves strategic communication and relationship-building.I decided to continue to pursue a degree in Mass Communications, but instead, with a focus on public relations and a minor in marketing. I want to open myself up to opportunities that involve maintaining important relationships, managing crises, and staying ahead of the curve. I love competition just as much as I love winning. Seeing a project finally assemble after long hours and hard work gives me satisfaction. With this new path in mind, I plan to search for internships and careers involving management, event planning, writing, and more.
