Research Assistant for Professor Amarnath Amarasingam in the School of Religion. My research work focuses on terrorism studies and preventing/combating violent extremism (P/CVE), particularly on the far-right. My research work has contributed to the publication of journal articles, book chapters, and reports. Canada Research Chair (Tier II) on Gender, Security, and the Armed Forces: As part of Dr. von Hlatky's CRC research project comparing Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) implementation at different international organizations, I am the NATO lead. In the process of studying the unintended consequences and norm-building of NATO's WPS implementation, I have developed literature reviews, fact sheets, document coding, and given presentations on the subject. In October 2021, I travelled to the NATO HQ in Brussels to assist in interviewing civilian and military officials regarding WPS.

Alongside ad-hoc work for the CIDP which has involved copyediting, newsletter production, and workshop assistance, I also assisted with the centre's Conflict Prevention Tool project:Lead research assistant for incubator project with the International Committee of the Red Cross, the Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance, and AngloGold Ashanti. Led to the creation of a practical tool that generates solutions for conflict prevention and resolution for companies in the extractive industries, with a focus on multi-stakeholder consultations and corporate culture. In particular, I developed the comprehensive questionnaire package and stakeholder mapping sections. Worked at United Way as part of the first cohort of the Political Studies Department's Internship Program. In addition to funding programs that support residents, United Way researches issues and develops community plans to address the root causes of issues that impact people locally. The intern would work with the Community Impact department to research key issues like homelessness, mental health, addictions, poverty, food security, etc., providing the United Way with key facts and data to support the work being done in the community. The student would also consolidate and analyze data provided by funded agencies, categorized by issue and topic. This is then reviewed by the Leadership team and compiled for the annual Community Impact report.

Researched, under the supervision of Professor Stéfanie von Hlatky, NATO Women, Peace, and Security policies, focusing on norm-building and civil-military relations. In November 2021, presented findings (titled "Women, Peace, and Security: Analyzing NATO Gender Policies"), to the Principal and Vice-Chancellor and Vice-Principal of Research of Queen's University. Ran all social media platforms, coordinated logistics for regular online content publications (podcasts, policy briefs, webinars), and assisted in the organization and running of the 2021 annual KCIS conference, Canada's premier academic defence and security conference.

Interned at the Guelph Civic Museum, gaining experience in a number of departments and areas, including curatorial, programming, and collection management. In this role, I had the opportunity to independently plan, design, and install multiple public case exhibits. I also collaborated with the curatorial team to plan and install major temporary exhibits. During the summer of 2019, I worked with the marketing director to draft a successful social media plan and posting schedule in preparation for the launch of the museum's Instagram account. Finally, I cleaned and restructured the archive's digital collection and filing system for easier and simpler access.
