Emergency Department RNAs an ED RN I work as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide wholistic care to patient’s in a critical care setting.

As a Health Unit Coordinator, I provide timely assistance to interdisciplinary team to provide the highest quality of patient care and facilitate continuity of care through discharge planning. Through the utilization of EPIC I participate in discharge planning, interprofessional collaboration and documentation. Ultimately, I stive to maintain unit flow in a fast-paced environment including tasks related to admission, discharge and rapid response codes.

As a Medkab driver, I worked to ensure patient safety following hospital discharge. I provided transport from hospital facilities to a variety of settings including skilled nursing facilities, medical appointments, and patient residences. While transporting I worked to ensure a clean and safe environment and discussed any concerns and hesitations the patient had in transitioning to care settings.

As a medical scribe, I worked to accurately obtain and document patient medical information including the history of present illness, review of systems, laboratory studies, imaging, procedures, etc. In order to ensure a complete picture of the patient's experience prior to discharge from our facility.
