Through being self employed I have been able to build on many important skills. I have to be reliable, responsible, and adaptable so that families trust me and appreciate me dog sitting for them while they are away. It is up to me to make sure everything with the dog and at the house is taken care of so that customers experience exceptional customer service. At Joshua's Camp I was responsible for assisting in event planning. I researched online meeting options in case the spring in person event was cancelled due to COVID 19. It was also my responsibility to contact volunteers to help with the event and answer any questions they had. This helped me build skills in planning, coordinating, and communicating.When a family has a child being treated for cancer, it quickly becomes a daily struggle just to hold everything that matters together. For families under such constant stress, Joshua's Camp is a very special retreat with a life-renewing mission. We offer a safe haven where everyone in the family is given the opportunity to step back, relax and experience a feeling of solid ground. Joshua's Camp is available to qualifying registered families free of charge.
