The Forge North Managing Director plays a central role in advancing the Forge North coalition’s portfolio of action to advance racial equity, early-stage capital, and enterprise participation in the region’s startup & innovation economy. This is a leadership role with important responsibility for accelerating a regional effort that aims to create global impact. As Enterprise Financial Advisor to GREATER MSP, this role will provide expertise and support to the organization in the areas of finance and leadership including but not limited to financial policy, analysis, planning, reporting, budgeting, tax, risk management, grant management, and financial strategy.

Serve as a vocational deacon providing liturgical, ministerial, pastoral and supportive services to faith communities especially for the poor, needy and sick. Also serve at the direction of the Bishop to assist in providing advice/support to missioners, trustees and other elected body members of the Episcopal Church in Minnesota.

The Senior Vice President and CFO is a strategic leadership partner to the President and executive leadership team of APMG, advising on business analysis and strategic planning. The CFO supervises the Finance staff in carrying out a wide range of functional responsibilities, including: primary staff support for the Finance Committees and Audit Committees of the respective Boards; additional support as needed to the Planning Committee and others; regular financial reporting to the Boards and management, including annual audits of the financial statements; external reporting to rating agencies and financial institutions (particularly covenant reporting); both non-profit and for-profit business and financial analysis, including margin analysis and acquisition analysis; annual budgeting and strategic financial planning; and treasury, including short-term investments and banking relationships.

The Chief Financial and Administrative Officer leads the Foundation’s corporate administrative and finance functions, providing the highest level of quality consistent with the efficient use of the organization’s financial, technological, investment, regulatory, real property and human resources. Develop and implement goals, strategies, and policies that result in effective and responsible management of operations, investments and administrative functions of the Foundation. Responsible for all administrative and financial activities including: the management of $165 million investment portfolio, development and reporting for $50 million operating budget, oversight of $71 million fixed asset portfolio and facilities, placement and direction of $110 million insurance and risk management portfolio, oversight for 650 device technology network, leadership and direction 451 participant 401K plan and 1500 member defined benefit plan aggregating over $70 million in plan assets. Lead staff member for Finance and Investment Committees of the Board of Directors.

Responsible for the development and implementation of business strategy and operating policies and procedures; planning, executive staffing, resource allocation and capital management; investment banking operations and execution, development of partnership alliances and new product initiatives; financial and regulatory oversight; investor, regulator, board of directors and third party advisory relationship management.

Responsible for strategic and daily financial functions including: Capital Management, Financial Modeling and Forecasting, Venture Pool Investment Management, Daily financial Reporting, Cash Management, Insurance Carrier Operations, Actuarial Financial Management and Underwriting. Key member of Executive and Operating Committees with responsibility for all financial planning, risk management, contract negotiation, regulatory and internal compliance, financial intermediary relationships, board and shareholder relationship management and Corporate Governance Functions

Key decision maker for debt, capital, dividend and balance sheet policies, shareholder transactions and investor relation’s support. Lead manager for investment and commercial banking, insurance and risk management, rating agency and investment management relationships.

Led staff of 90, managing $300 million investment portfolio, $450 million of credit facilities, 300 bank accounts for 20 operating entities and $250 million of annual cash flow. Responsibilities included: corporate cash management and treasury operations involving $120 billion of annual money movements, management of corporate capital, dividend policy,liquidity management, internal and external financing,corporate wide insurance programs and risk management. bank and rating agency relations, acquisition and merger activities,external agency reporting, payroll operations and management, emergency response team coordination and accounting operations for treasury.
