About Morten Illum
85% of businesses plan to implement IoT by 2019. It’s a crazy number – and one that brings lots of considerations. First is the business benefits we’ll see. And then there’s the security breaches – those that have already occurred and those businesses need to prepare for. What I find really exciting is the sheer potential for IoT and the digital workplace to make people’s lives easier. I get the chance to do this in my role leading Aruba across EMEA – creating real, tangible time and money savings through understanding the environment our customers work in and employing the latest mobile tech. There’s quite a few things I’m really proud of that we’ve achieved so far with IoT at Aruba… enabling doctors and nurses to complete their rounds quicker, reducing the wait time at stadiums and introducing indoor location tech to improve the retail experience.
