CurrentAs a GIS Specialist at the JMT Wilderness Conservancy, I leverage my expertise in Geographic Information Systems to support conservation efforts and enhance the preservation of the John Muir Trail and its surrounding ecosystems. My role involves:Spatial Analysis: Utilizing advanced GIS techniques to analyze environmental data, providing valuable insights for resource management and conservation planning.Data Management: Collecting, organizing, and maintaining geospatial datasets to ensure accurate and up-to-date information for project stakeholders.Map Creation: Designing and producing detailed maps that communicate key information for various projects, presentations, and outreach initiatives.Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams to integrate GIS solutions into conservation strategies and decision-making processes.Community Engagement: Assisting in the development of educational materials and initiatives to promote awareness of the importance of wilderness conservation.
