Designed and developed SAS (Scholars Analytic System) system using ASP.NET 3.5, C# and SQL Server 2008. An internal web system that serves the Business Development department, Customer Relation Unit and Content Management Unit within Hindawi. The system has 15+ database servers in the back end hosting a distributed Multi-Terabyte database- locally within Hindawi- An abstract and citation database called Scopus provided by Elsevier(the largest Abstract and Indexing database worldwide in scientific, technical, medical and social sciences fields).The system runs through the following process:* Converting about 700 GB xml files (Scopus data update delivered every 3 months) into relational database tables.* Applying a set of Hindawi-specific algorithms for gathering new statistical information into distributed databases that help achieve the next step.* A set of tools-working on those databases- developed specifically to serve the needs of the Business Development department, Customer Relation Unit and Content Management.* The Web Application helps the employees search and rank Scopus data and provides a huge list of reports according to the management requirements.
