I supported South Asian countries’ transportation projects while developing financial, economic, and operation models for multiple intermodal and freight-dedicated rail corridors to unlock country growth through better access to international trade lines, including:• Enabling a $1.1 billion loan by supporting the design of the Indian East Dedicated Freight Rail Corridor II project to improve the speed and efficiency of raw materials and finished goods movement between North and East India.

I supported East African countries’ transportation projects while developing financial, economic, and operation models for multiple intermodal and freight-dedicated rail corridors to unlock country growth through better access to international trade lines, including• Developing the financial and business model to analyze the viability of a $300 million rail rehabilitation project in Tanzania for the Tanzania Internodal and Rail Development project to connect Tanzania with DR Congo and Uganda.• Educating the finance ministers of East African countries on the most appropriate rail investment by collaborating in preparing a briefing note about the most appropriate rail gauge in East Africa.

I continued to support European railway companies on different projects to optimize their operations. I coached a team of two students and supervised their undergraduate theses.

I partnered with several European railway companies to help them optimize their operations, including: • I achieved a 3% energy savings during night operations by designing train timetables that synchronized the speed-up and slow-down of nearby metros for Metro de Madrid.• I facilitated a 1+% reduction in Spanish high-speed rail energy consumption using reliability time slacks for eco-driving.
