To support this work, I led racial equity and social justice training and discussions. I coached and advised project leads on equity principles as they related to their respective scopes of work. I reviewed the strategic plan and proposal for value alignment and to flag areas where we were building in, replicating, or worsening barriers for children, families, providers, and staff.Project: Language Premium for Bilingual StaffAs a result of observed and experienced inequities in our translation process, I initiated translation team meetings with multilingual staff, formed language-specific peer mentoring teams across the center, and started several external partnership meetings to co-create a process and draft protocols that respect and value our multilingual staff.
