As Software and Systems Developer I am a member of the AA Finance operations team, responsible for managing and developing the finPOWER Connect account management software, associated web-based application forms, as well as other technology and digital assets. A key responsibility is to establish and optimise software-related processes, including workflow management and scripting, to enhance operational efficiency and maintain alignment with company procedures.To ensure project delivery and the success of upgrades, I conduct comprehensive testing in development and UAT environments, building test cases and ensuring the functionality and quality of system changes before scheduled production releases in addition to developing and maintaining critical components of the finPOWER Connect account management system.Involved in multiple key projects including a software versioning upgrads, automation of banking transactional data, significant reporting improvements, software integration initiatives and data privacy and cybersecurity enhancements. These involve managing software version upgrades, collaborating with cross-functional teams, writing user guides and manuals, building test cases, adjusting code and completing regular penetration tests.

In my role as Information Systems Support Officer, I provided in-house and first-level support across a variety of information systems and networks and was the first point of contact before escalation or engagement with third-party providers. I completed all administration for the finPOWER account management software (later finPOWER Connect), troubleshooting, debugging and resolving issues within the system and code bases in addition to creating and maintaining customer-facing documentation within the system, reviewing and improving this to enhance customer experience and improve functionality.During my time here I developed and delivered ‘how to’ guides and process manuals, training staff to use IT tools and infrastructure more efficiently and undertook data modelling and analysis via SQL, Crystal Reports, MS Access and MS Excel. I was involved in key projects including the successful system migration to finPOWER Connect, integration of new credit reporting data, transition from credit reporting agencies and the change to a new telephony software provider.
