For 15 years I have worked at a certified public accounting firm, I started as a temp, from a temp service gift certificate won at a silent auction, and after a week they decided to keep me. I'm so proud of how far I've come - started as a temp, then became an administrative assistant and then in a few short years I became the office manager. Our firm merged with a larger firm 3 years ago, and while I lost many responsibilities I gained many new and exciting responsibilities of which proofreading and social event planning are my favorites. I love helping others so whether its helping the marketing department with a potential client proposal, to hand delivering documents to the DOL for a partner, to building office chairs, to planning that summer outing few will forget, to making sure we eat birthday dessert once a month, to assisting our headquarters office staff as back up support, to ensuring a new employee feels comfortable on their first day, to making sure financial statements don't pass quality control with crazy margins, to making sure we don't run out of toner, to leading fun employee charitable projects/events; I wear several hats and I wouldn't have it any other way.
