Designed, programmed, deployed, manage all 4 of First Mercantile Trust's corporate/client web sites. Manager on .Net migration of said web sites. DALBAR, Inc. recognized First Mercantile as one of the top companies in America for the quality of its participant web site, which was one of only six sites to receive an "excellent" rating in the DALBAR analysis. The study involved a review of participant web sites provided by 31 of the industry's top financial services firms. First Mercantile plan participant site has a sleek new look and enhanced navigation tools so that even the most novice web users will be able to easily find their way around the site.

Contracted to First Mercantile Trust. First Mercantile Trust offers financial services such as retirement plans, investments, payroll and other related services.I was influential in the design/implementation of First Mercantile Trust's internal Account Tracking system - Acorn. This system utilizes a three-tiered architecture. The clients, either internal (Acorn) or external (web sites), go through COM/COM+ objects running in Microsoft Transaction Server packages on two Load Balanced web servers to access the Microsoft SQL 7 database. These COM/COM+ objects where written in Visual Basic 6.0. I designed/wrote all First Mercantile Trust web sites. These include plan participants, plan sponsors, third-party administrators and brokers. I am currently responsible for converting and/or rewriting the system to .Net.

I was responsible for the design and implementation of the PPG Relocation Tracking System. This application was a 32bit Visual Basic 5.0 application that interfaces with a SQL Server 6.5 database. The application replaced an old DOS based Q&A database system, which would not run on a Windows95 client. The application provided a system that allowed the user to track employee relocations from beginning to end. It provided tracking for household goods move, account information, inventory, and all moving expenses. It provided reporting (Crystal Reports 4.6) and fax capabilities (Microsoft Fax). The application was a standard executable that contained references to three custom ActiveX DLLs.; I was responsible for the conversion of the corporate telephone listing application from Microsoft Access 2.0 to a client/server system utilizing Visual Basic 5.0, SQL Server 6.5, and Crystal Reports 4.6. The system allowed the user to modify employee and corporate location information for the entire PPG enterprise, as well as, the printing of the corporate telephone listing.; I was responsible for the design and implementation of a client/server application used to generate employee benefits statements. The system was developed using Visual Basic 5.0, SQL Server 6.5 and Crystal Reports 4.6. The system would download various flat files from the main frame, allow the user to modify the data, generate various reports and print the benefits statement for approximately eleven thousand PPG employees worldwide.

A member of the development team responsible for writing a Windows version of the existing Hotel Management System, the largest Visual Basic application to date. I was responsible for the design and implementation of the core guest service module, which included reservations, check-in, checkout, and walk-in. Also responsible for guest, travel agent, corporate and booker profiles. The tools used included Visual Basic 4.0, Visual Basic 5.0, SQL Server 6.0, Visual C++ 4.2, Visual Source Safe 4.0; The system interfaces via satellite with a National Reservation System, which resides on a UNIX system.

A member of the development team responsible for design and implementation of a client/server system utilizing Visual Basic 3.0 and Omnis 7 for the font end and a Sybase back end on a Digital VAX system. I was also responsible for the hospital wide PC procurement and maintenance program as well as PC/Network troubleshooting.

Responsible for writing code with the Merlin Tabulation System in a UNIX environment for the purpose of generating proprietary cross-tabulated printouts for market research analysis. Responsible for the company wide databases using Access, Windows/UNIX system administration, and PC hardware/software troubleshooting, maintenance and procurement.
