I worked one-on-one with both undergraduate and graduate writers of all ages, many of whom were international, non-native English speaking students. My own experiences as a writer and reader allowed me to offer students both macro- and micro-level constructive feedback to improve their writing process whether they were brainstorming, drafting, revising, or editing. I regularly assisted with a wide variety of cross-discipline writing that ranged anywhere from five page freshman comp essays to hundred page dissertations.

San Francisco Bay Area

I worked remotely from Indiana with the San Francisco-based company's founder/CEO through emails, teleconferences, and video chats to meet whatever PR needs our clients had as quickly as possible; some occasionally required turnaround in fewer than 24 hours. Since startups comprised the vast majority of the clients, I catered to a wide variety of needs. I wrote press releases for several companies as well as compiled lists of potential media outlets. To increase the chance of the outlet accepting the pitch, I targeted outlets whose prior stories, values, and audience interests most closely aligned with those of the client. I designed company newsletters via MailChimp by economizing and sharpening client-provided text and pairing it with catchy images. I also analyzed a website's organizational, aesthetic, and gender appeal issues, then used Keynote and Photoshop to build a mood board that would help the visualize my suggestions.
