    Employability Administrator
    Northumbria University Oct 2019 - Aug 2020
    Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom
After having a successful placement year working with the Team at Northumbria, I was asked to come back as a Student Placement Administrator to work part-time around my studies. This role involves dealing with queries from external organisations relating to placements and partnerships with the University. • Northumbria University
    Communications Assistant
    Northumbria University Sep 2018 - Aug 2019
    Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom
During the sandwich year of my degree I worked for Northumbria University's Placements Team as a Placement Assistant in a marketing and communications role. Working in a team I would source placement opportunities and promote them to students. This would involve social media advertising, email marketing and creating promotional material. I would analyse data such as the number of views and applications each advert had to get a better understanding of which promotional method had the greatest impact. Additionally, I would create surveys and send them to various stakeholders to help my understanding of how well our service was performing. To source opportunities I would target organisations via email and telephone. I would then assist with any administrative tasks needed. The organisations would range from local charities to multinational organisations in a whole range of sectors. Working with such a range of companies required an extremely high level of organisation skills to ensure that I knew exactly how to approach and liaise with each organisation. During my time in the team I was involved in events management, assisting with the planning, hosting and promoting of employability events. This included The University's Employability Week, Placements and Careers Fair and other ad hoc events. I would liaise with organisations and students to ensure that both parties were able to get the most out of each event.I was involved in projects to create marketing guides that the University could give to perspective organisations considering offering placements. I collated industry information along with the legal requirements of university placements and combined it into a user friendly guide which included testimonials I had collected when conducting primary research. Evidence of the projects I designed and worked on can be found attached here. The end result was made possible by combining my marketing knowledge, design skills and creative thinking.
