Principle Product LeadTransport For London Nov 2016 - PresentLondon, United KingdomTfL Go app creator. Digital mapping and design language originator and maker. My work at TfL Digital encompasses product strategy and innovation, design and delivery, craftsmanship and mentorship.Digital Design LanguageDrawn from TfL’s brand heritage and designed around modern needs, I crafted a new digital wayfinding design system that feels familiar and instantly recognisable. Shaped using a set of four foundational principles, the bold colour palette, typographic style, bespoke symbol set, and spacing system combine to form an accessible, adaptable and coherent visual language for all digital touch points. This core set of elements was later expanded to include language, motion, illustration standards.Digital Mapping LanguageBased upon the essence Beck’s iconic and beloved Tube map, I defined a new tactile mapping language and method of interaction, designed specifically for screen and touch interfaces, that adjusts to live events and display modes. Generated entirely from code and freed from the constraints of static print maps, the modular system can be rearranged to form new maps and diagrams, making it possible for more inclusive, versatile, and useful wayfinding experiences. TfL Go appDesigned around the new digital map and launched during the height of the pandemic, I originated, directed and produced the product design experience for the award winning TfL Go app. A wayfinding product designed for the moment, that’s genuinely useful and accessible by all. With inclusivity at its core, the bespoke interface carefully and deliberately focuses on what’s important, adapting and supporting the diverse needs of travellers in and around London. The app sets the direction for future digital experiences from Transport for London. -

Co-Founder & Product Design DirectorInk Sep 2015 - Oct 2016London, United KingdomInk was a small start up with a big idea. To change the way people buy and sell homes, and make it as easy as buying anything else. We wanted people to move to a home they love, and love the way they do it.We tore up a broken process, threw the bad parts away, added some smart and helpful things, then connected all together into a single experience.I’m enormously proud of what we created and its potential to fundamentally change an age old process that no one enjoys. I believe it’s a meaningful change that would benefit everyone involved. -
