WHAT I BRING TO THE TABLE:I’m a former fine wine consultant who has spent years fostering a work ethic showing uncompromising reliability, a devotion to excellence and resourceful problem solving. Through intuition and empathy I can relate to practically anyone, anticipating their needs and reasoning through the means to fulfill them.HOW THIS WHOLE THING GOT STARTED:After college when I wasn’t handed a recording contract for my saxophone prowess (as I had hoped), I had to get a real job and started working in a little wine shop as the homebrew supply/beer guy. Four years later I had moved up into distribution and established one of the most profitable sales territories in Virginia for a small company undergoing exponential growth and expansion.BEEN WHERE, DONE WHAT?Through a relationship-driven focus and clear communication I consistently sold over a million dollars of products annually, earning a sponsored trip to different wine regions around the world each time. My success in opening accounts was such that I was able to cede entire regions for new reps to begin their careers. Ohhh, the wine dinner memories…MODUS OPERANDI:My charisma and objectivity have made me a dynamic leader, yet I can tenaciously complete tasks myself. I have trained and overseen sales reps, merchandisers and drivers, all while managing relationships with restaurateurs and entrepreneurs in a massive sales territory. Recently with UVA I’ve been able to show my versatility, ability to learn new software and the business of higher education administration.THE DEVIL IN THE DETAILS:Off hours, I’m an exceptional cook, lacrosse enthusiast and cool-climate Pinot Noir geek. I’m a member of American Mensa, fiercely proud of my liberal arts education and always ready to aesthetically “throw down”. Lastly, in the near future I intend to further my career through either the Project Management or Information Technology disciplines, as lifelong learning leads to unending relevance.
